  • Large cast iron skillet

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil, divided
  • 4 one-inch thick steaks (sirloin, striploin, or ribeye)
  • (To taste) salt and pepper
  • 1 package any flavor Microwave Ready Little Potatoes

Instructions

  • Step 1

    Heat a cast iron skillet over high heat. Add one tablespoon oil to coat the pan.

  • Step 2

    Season the steaks with salt and pepper and add to the pan. Sear on each side, about two minutes per side.

  • Step 3

    Reduce heat to medium and cook until desired temperature is reached (155 °F for medium).

  • Step 4

    Meanwhile, remove microwave tray from Little Potato package and tear off seasoning pouch. Cook on high for five minutes.

  • Step 5

    Remove film, drizzle with one tablespoon oil and sprinkle with seasoning. Stir to coat.

  • Step 6

    When steak is cooked, remove to a plate to rest for five minutes. Serve with potatoes and salad or vegetables if desired.
