This easy-to-prepare Moroccan tagine dish is slow cooked with an assortment of warming spices. You can use chicken, beef, or lamb to make this recipe.
- Slow cooker
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, whole peeled
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 (13 oz) cans diced tomatoes
- 6 boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 2 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1.5 lbs Little Potatoes
- 1 cup olives
- 1/2 cup crushed almonds (optional)
- (To taste) mint
Add all of the ingredients (except for the almonds and mint) to the slow cooker and turn on for 4 to 4 1/2 hours on high setting.
Serve over rice or couscous and garnish with mint and crushed almonds.
