Make this potatoes au gratin with cauliflower and ham recipe on those days you really need some good old fashioned, cheesy comfort food!

  • Large saucepan
  • 9" × 9″ baking pan


  • 1 lb Microwave Ready Little Potatoes
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 1/2 cups ham, cubed
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 cups cauliflower, cut in small florets
  • 1 cup Gruyère, Swiss or Jalbert cheese, grated


  • Step 1

    Preheat oven to 400 °F.

  • Step 2

    Place the potato tray in the microwave for five minutes, setting the seasoning pack aside. Let potatoes cool to room temperature then cut the potatoes into quarters. Set aside.

  • Step 3

    In a large saucepan, melt the butter and sauté the ham for two minutes. Add the flour and cook for one minute. Gradually add the milk, and stir continuously to avoid lumps.

  • Step 4

    Add the seasoning pack, potatoes, cauliflower and cheese. Stir well and pour into a 9" × 9″ baking pan. Bake 15 minutes and finish cooking by setting to broil for 2 to 3 minutes. Serve.
