What You’ll Need
- Printer
- The Valentine’s Little Connections Cards (PDF)
- Scissors or a paper trimmer
- Optional: cardstock for durability, a small bowl/jar or place-card holders, markers or pens to add names or your own prompts
How to Play
- Print, cut, and shuffle the cards. Place them in a bowl at the center of the table or set one at each place setting.
- Take turns drawing a card and answering. Encourage follow-ups like “why?” or “tell me more,” and invite little ones to go first. Sample prompts include: “What’s one thing you love most about our family?”, “What makes you feel loved at home?”, “What’s your favorite way to show someone you care?”
- Try quick variants:
- Gratitude Round: each person answers one card before the first bite.
- Pass & Pick: pass the bowl; you may swap once if a prompt doesn’t fit.
- Compliment Chain: after answering, give a quick compliment to the person on your left.
- Road-Trip Stack: keep a mini pile in the car for screen-free travel chats.
- Save favorite prompts in a jar to revisit at dessert—or again next year.
