What You’ll Need

  • Printer
  • Lunchbox Cards PDF
  • Pen or fine-tip marker
  • Optional: cardstock for sturdier cards, stickers or washi tape, a small box/jar to store finished cards

How to Play

  1. Print and cut the cards. Keep them in a small box or jar where you pack lunches.
  2. Write a short message—try a compliment, inside joke, riddle, or “little moment of happiness” prompt (e.g., “What made you smile today?”).
  3. Tuck one card into the lunchbox, pencil case, or book sleeve.
  4. Rotate themes through the week (encouragement, gratitude, just for fun) and invite kids to bring the card home to spark dinner table conversation.
