Brad Smoliak, Potato Guru

Brad Smoliak decided to become a chef at six years old. He had two grandmothers and an
uncle who loved to cook. And he couldn’t tear himself away from TV cooking shows.

Years later, he finally grew into a Chef’s uniform. Many accomplishments followed:
• Attained his Red Seal, the recognized standard of excellence in cooking
• Opened his first restaurant four days shy of his 30th birthday
• Cooked for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II during her 2005 Royal Visit
• Served as Executive Chef for Alberta House during the 2010 Winter
Olympics

Accessible, easy-going style

While Brad has prepared some fancy meals, he’s no food snob. Fun-loving and friendly,
he’s quick with a joke and a laugh. He calls his rustic cooking style “updated peasant.”
It’s gourmet food without the intimidation factor

Today, at LPC

Today, Brad lends his culinary talents to The Little Potato Company as our corporate chef.
He creates new little potato recipes and dishes them out, along with cooking tips and
kitchen secrets, to our potato fans.

He’ll also answer any food or cooking questions you throw at him.
Just email him at brad@littlepotatoes.com.
